From your PASSION to ours

The Senior A/R Associate position will be a highly motivated, independent self-starter type professional critical to the success of the Accounts Receivable team. The position is accountable for a specific portfolio of Customer Accounts to ensure timely payment of invoices through actively engaging in collection duties as well as resolving customer billing issues directly with the customer. Support the monthly closing process by invoicing internal/affiliate customers timely and accurately as well as assist with the year-end audit. Assist in the review of the accounting department workflow, systems, record keeping and compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

· Responsible for review, preparation & invoicing of monthly charges as assigned to Affiliates and other profit centers.

· Support and have an active role in the monthly close process.

· Work with other departments within the organization to understand their general accounting needs; assist in communicating and analyzing account/customer discrepancies, disputes and or variances in transactions.

· Assist in the required audits, including assisting in the coordination among departments and plants. Interact with both internal and external auditors

· Collection calls & email correspondence to customers as necessary in order to update customer accounts.

· Answer AR phone inquiries and performs follow through as necessary related to those calls. Handle or escalate large collection issues as necessary.

· Serve as backup for posting and clearing all weekly cash transactions and noting/resolving any cash discrepancies with AR/AP Departments, preparing daily cash deposits and completes daily cash control sheet

Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

Education

· Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics preferred

Experience

· 4+ years experience in Accounting or Finance required

· Experience in Food Industry preferred

Specialized Knowledge

· Microsoft Office Suite, strong Excel skills

Skills / Abilities

· Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred

· Self-Motivated, problem solver

· Skilled and thorough researcher with excellent communication

· High level of accuracy, efficiency and accountability

· Must be organized with attention to detail

· Ability to build relationships with clients and internal departments

· Strong math, typing and computer skills, especially with Excel & SAP

Salary Description

$73,000 - $85,000
