In support of Planned Parenthood of Central and Western New York (PPCWNY)’s mission, the Regional Revenue Cycle Training Facilitator is responsible for developing, planning, maintaining, and facilitating training programs for affiliate staff relevant to Revenue Cycle activities and operations. The Training Facilitator provides and promotes excellent, efficient service to all clients and patients by training staff on accurate and efficient Practice Management (PM) software use at multiple affiliates to accomplish strategic Revenue Cycle training objectives and maintain high functioning, health organizations
Essential Functions
Develops, maintains, and implements Revenue Cycle training programs to meet all organizational goals for all departments.
Coordinates a training schedule for new hires, refresher trainings for established staff and, as needed, in response to changes in Revenue Cycle workflows, processes and/or regulations
Organizes, coordinates, and provides training to all designated staff including didactic training, onsite training support, and evaluation of knowledge and skills in collaboration with the Revenue Cycle Leadership and Compliance, Quality and Risk Management (CQRM) departments and under the direction of the Regional Manager of Revenue Cycle Training and Projects Coordination
Performs on-site or virtual visits to evaluate the effectiveness of revenue cycle training programs and identify areas for improvement
Acquires and maintains comprehensive knowledge of Revenue Cycle operational policies and CQRM issues across the affiliates in Shared Services
Remains current on Revenue Cycle policies and procedures as well as upgrades and enhancements to PM system and proactively updates staff through approved channels at each affiliate in Shared Services.
Works collaboratively with Revenue Cycle Leadership and Health Center Management across the affiliates in Shared Services to identify differences and standardize Front Office Revenue Cycle relevant processes and workflows to every extent possible
Works daily to organize multi-departmental group meetings to collaborate in reevaluating workflows for process improvement
Develops standard operational procedures (SOPs)
Creates change notification documentation for updates to Revenue Cycle policies and procedures, including separating and distinguishing the differences in workflows and documentation for each affiliate in Shared Services
Works collaboratively with Information Technology to improve front end processes, billing workflows, and to identify system issues related to Revenue Cycle with the goal of standardizing system applications and functionality for all Shared Services affiliates
Determines which training methodologies are most appropriate for various situations and audiences based on knowledge of learning styles and instructional design principles
Develops curriculums, prepares relevant training material, forms, and other resources; produces high quality visual and print materials for all Shared Services affiliates
Delivers scheduled trainings via online platform or on-site as required, to enhance the users’ knowledge and understanding of Revenue Cycle relevant workflows and differences for each affiliate regarding processes, operations, and regulations
Provides support to the Regional Manager of Revenue Cycle Training and Projects Coordination to communicate changes and updates, promote productivity and efficiency and to ensure appropriate implementation in compliance with Revenue Cycle relevant workflows and regulations, including tips and tricks
Responds to Revenue Cycle PM application use related questions and issues
Provides feedback, coaching and training for staff at all Shared Services affiliates related to inconsistences and deviations from policies and procedures; provides information and support to managers where corrective action may be required

Other Accountability Activities
Collaborates with Revenue Cycle Leadership and Health Center managers to ensure complete and accurate patient data entry, financial assessment, and appropriate data retrieval from the NextGen PM system to ensure full and timely reimbursement of billable services for Shared Services.
Supports Revenue Cycle Leadership and Shared Services affiliate leadership to ensure compliance with financial assessment policies and procedures, accounts receivable and collection policies for each affiliate
Helps to assess staff performance and training needs using audits, reviews, and observations as part of the annual planning process
Assists with day-to-day PM process troubleshooting and implementation of solutions for all Shared Services affiliates
Maintains comprehensive understanding of various insurance policies and regulations; this may entail independent reading, research, and/or attending informational seminars
Manages confidential and non-routine information with sensitivity
Practices a customer-oriented and team-centered approach in carrying out job responsibilities
Performs other duties as assigned by Manager

Requirements
Applicants must possess the following qualifications(or equivalent combination of education and experience):
Education—
- Associates degree in Education, Health Education, or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience—
Minimum of two years’ experience delivering professional trainings, both formal and informal presentations to a variety of audiences
Minimum of two years’ experience in Revenue Cycle operations in a healthcare setting
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Excellent communication (oral and written) skills are essential
Proficient PC skills needed (MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Knowledge of NextGen PM system strongly preferred
Must have strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving skills
Must be able to work independently, manage time effectively, set priorities, and multi-task
Must be able to work a flexible schedule to support meetings and activities and travel to other sites when needed
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license not in jeopardy of being revoked

Work ScheduleThis is a full-time, 40 hour a week, position; regular schedule will be Monday – Friday with occasional evenings and weekends.
Benefits & CompensationAt PPCWNY, we are committed to equitable compensation practices and transparency. In alignment with these efforts, the pay for this position ranges from $24.76 to $28.67/hour.
