M&T Bank Product Manager II (Card Fraud Experience) - Hybrid in Buffalo, New York

Overview:

Responsible for Debit Card and Credit Card product profitability and customer experience relative to application and transaction fraud prevention and monitoring. Ensures product/services are marketable, profitable and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of the Debit Card and Credit Card businesses and their functions, processes, and operations.

  • Combine technical understanding with business knowledge to anticipate impacts of strategy and process change.

  • Lead and engage in discussions with internal and external business partners to refine and enhance Debit Card and Credit Card transaction fraud monitoring and dispute processing.

  • Set targets for performance metrics and provide oversight of monitoring efforts.

  • Develop and execute complex tactics to meet business objectives, with limited oversight.

  • Review new developments in application and transaction fraud space, evaluating and recommending new services or new products, or the modification of existing services or products.

  • Performs reporting and analysis relating to the product portfolio.

  • Ensure product complies with legal or regulatory requirements.

  • Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience

  • 5 years’ proven marketing, product management, financial, operations and/or project management experience

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Project Management skills

  • Strong developmental and research ability

  • Fraud prevention experience

  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills

  • Highly organized with an ability to multi-task

  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, as well as contribute on an individual basis

  • Outstanding interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills

Working Model/Office Location:

This is a hybrid location requiring 3 days in-office per week. Eligible candidates must live within commuting distance to 345 Main Street, Buffalo, NY 14203.

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $85,104.04 - $141,840.07 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
