Reporting to the Application Engineering Manager, the Product Innovation Scientist will:

  • Oversee the innovative product development and deployment of fiber-based catalytic products by collaborating with R&D, Manufacturing, Engineering and New Business Development teams.

  • Act as a subject matter expert with regards to material selection, compatibility, performance characteristics, and appropriateness for application in support of sales and other departments in the organization as needed

  • In-depth knowledge of in-reactor bed material (bed grading, guard beds etc.) and catalytic products for Emission Control Technologies (SCR, VOCs) to identify product design requirements.

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap Execution: Ownership of managing product developments and executing strategy to meet the revenue targets.

  • Go To Market: product development pipeline by researching and recommending new products and services or market opportunities aligning with roadmap and corporate strategy.

  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Translate information from market and customers into unique value proposition to drive the sales

  • Provides technical support, working directly with customers to understand specific technical requirements, installation issues, and ultimately recommend appropriate products meeting customer KPIs to enable sales.

  • Prepares product specifications, cost estimates and commercial proposals to present to customers by closely working with R&D and New Business Development (NBD) team.

  • The incumbent is expected to perform the duties Living the Alkegen’s Values of Safety, Ethics, People, Commitment, Customer Focus, Innovation, Continuous Improvement, Teamwork, and Speed and Agility.

    Qualifications/ Experience:

  • MS or PhD Degree in Chemical Engineering or in related field is required.

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical project lead role aligned with development and commercialization of new catalytic products.

  • Self-starter with excellent analytical skills, ability to understand complex business issues and translate to solutions based on both quantitative and qualitative analysis

  • Strong technical aptitude to drive innovation with catalytic products for Oil and Gas industry

  • Strong commercial aptitude, including ability to understand customer needs and requirements, identify solutions, build long-term dynamic relationships, and driven to find new markets or channels.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work together with cross-function team including employees and management.

  • Ability to travel as needed, potentially up to 20%.

Salary range $81,420-$92,700
