Gateway Longview’s Foster Care program supports youth and families to strengthen the child’s overall care and work towards the goal of stability for all children. In addition, this program works to certify and support foster, adoptive, and kinship families.

Primary Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with foster parents and biological families to ensure continuity of treatment
Maintain regular contact with all parties including children, birth families, and foster and adoptive families
Ensure accurate, timely and comprehensive documentation of all necessary information for the case record
Assist in facilitation of supervised visitation for identified families
Fulfill other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services related field with relevant experience
Current NYS Driver’s License
Ability to build rapport with youth based on healthy boundaries, effective communication and mutual respect
Ability to exercise discretion and judgement in decision making
Ability to demonstrate sensitivity, compassion, patience, and active listening
Ability to effectively work with individuals from a diverse array of cultural backgrounds, beliefs, customs, and lifestyles
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in a clinically based area
Ability to work evening hours as needed
