Delaware North Learning and Development Internship in Buffalo, New York

The Opportunity

Delaware North is hiring Learning and Developmen Interns to join our team at our Global Headquarters in Buffalo, New York. Are you an energetic undergraduate or graduate student who’s seeking an incredible paid internship program?

Delaware North internships are paid and can be completed for academic credit. Summer internship dates typically span 10-14 weeks between June - August. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable work experience and make an impact in a global company.

Delaware North is a hospitality company with gaming, parks, sports services, food and beverage, and travel units. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic college intern to join our Learning & Development team for the Summer This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in gaining hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of digital marketing.

Pay

$17.00 - $22.00 / hour

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development, and delivery of training programs, workshops, and learning materials.

  • Collaborate on building e-learning courses and toolkits for high-priority talent management processes.

  • Research learning trends, technologies, and methodologies to support program enhancement.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify learning needs and create targeted solutions.

  • Support the administration and logistics of learning activities, including scheduling, registration, and participant communication.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback analysis and performance metrics.

  • Contribute to the design and maintenance of learning management systems and online resources.

  • Support Emerging Talent Programs in program and event management.

L and D Project Opportunities:

  • Designing, developing, and updating current e-learning & training materials.

  • Learning Management System management

  • Workday data reporting and analysis

  • Creative/design support on marketing and communications materials, Microsoft Teams/SharePoint sites, and video editing for e-learning

  • Program management and evaluation support.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Human Resources, Instructional Design, Talent Development, IT, or a related field.

  • Strong passion for learning and development, with a desire to make a meaningful impact on employee growth.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Previous internship or relevant experience in Learning & Development/Talent Development

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and potential familiarity with learning management systems & HRIS systems.

  • Proficient with Articulate Rise and Storyline, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier Pro CC, or can become proficient quickly.

  • Working knowledge of learning principles, instructional design, graphic design, and photography/videography.

  • Additional experiences with or technical experience with e-learning design, digital design, data analytics, Abode Suite/Cloud, & Workday is a plus.
