The Corporate Controller oversees all accounting and fiscal operations for Evergreen Health. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of the monthly financial closing process, financial systems and controls, financial reporting, and staff supervision. This position reports directly to the CFO.
As part of the essential functions of this role, the Corporate Controller :
Ensures compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, as well as Evergreen financial policies and procedures
Maintains internal controls necessary to safeguard Organization assets
Oversees the monthly financial close-out process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Coordinates and prepares the annual fiscal year end close out and annual audits
Daily analysis, planning and execution of the requirements necessary to manage cash flow and related investments or borrowings
Assists with the coordination and preparation of the annual budget
Ensures compliance with Federal and State reporting requirements
Provides direct supervision of the finance department staff.
Performs day-to-day internal control functions, general ledger and reconciliation functions
Administers corporate credit cards, third-party processors
Manage data integrity of third-party data reporting platform
Qualified Candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, as well as a CPA or five (5) years relevant experience in public accounting; preferred experience includes five (5) years in a healthcare non-profit and five (5) years experience managing/supervising staff; Candidate will demonstrate an awareness of and sensitivity to the issues that underserved populations, people living with HIV, and people who use drugs face, including health disparities that affect people of color at a disproportionate rate.

Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
Required Experience : CPA or five (5) years experience in public accounting required; five (5) years of relevant experience in a healthcare non-profit setting preferred; five (5) years of managerial/supervisory experience preferred.
