The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Tonja Williams Knight, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for a part-time hourly position in the Adult Education Program for the 2024-2025 School year as:

ADULT EDUCATION – CASE MANAGER - PART TIME - HOURLY

QUALIFICATIONS : Candidates must hold a New York State School Counseling Teaching Certificate, -OR- a Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field from an accredited university, - AND - An Adult Education Certificate (or willing to obtain). For NYS Adult Ed certification, you will be required to take Child Abuse Reporting, SAVE, & DASA workshops. EXPERIENCE : Candidates are expected to have experience with high school, out-of-school youth and/or adult learners. DUTIES : Case Managers will work one on one with students to provide counseling and referral services as needed. Case managers must be able to implement the instructional program in career advisement following curriculum guidelines provided and NYS Standards/Goals; evaluate students and instruction; be willing to utilize the database and prescriptive software systems currently available and maintain accurate records. Case Managers must attend a minimum of 14 staff development hours by NYSED guidelines and participate in the orientation course with Western New York Consortium Professional Staff Development. Must be familiar with community resources, employment opportunities, credentialed training programs and secondary educational institutions. Be able to identify and assess barriers to education. Create individualized plans for student achievement. APPOINTMENT : Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate. SALARY : Hourly Teacher Salary Schedule.
