Job Title: 2nd Shift General Helper

Job Description

A manufacturing company for packaging supplies is seeking a General Helper to perform general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.

Responsibilities

• Move material and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas using large roller conveyor belts.

• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

• Count items to ensure conformance to company standards.

• Mark materials with identifying information.

• Open bales, crates, or other containers as needed.

• Record the amount of materials or items received or distributed.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence.

• Ability to write short correspondence.

• Ability to read a tape measure.

• Computer savvy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Comfortable with steel toed boots (ankle length or higher).

• Experience in production, manufacturing, or construction work environments.

• Comfortable with ear plugs, eye mask, and hard hat.

• Preferred High School diploma.

Work Environment

The job is set in a large production facility with a very loud industrial work environment. Must be comfortable wearing a hard hat, steel toed boots (ankle length or higher), safety glasses, and ear plugs. The role involves bending, lifting, and twisting repetitively to move heavy material throughout the facility. Work hours are Monday to Friday, plus Saturdays as needed, with shifts from 1:30 PM to 10 PM, extending to 10-12 hours before/after shifts during peak times.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buena Park, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.22 - $20.22/hr.
