POSITION SUMMARY Supervises daily staff activities for the assigned area.

• Finances Manage productivity of your team (75% outpatient, 65% inpatient) Oversee patient schedule for outpatient team and facilitate the filling of openings each day Personal productivity is secondary to team needs/team productivity; loose goal 50%

• Culture Facilitate positive and effective culture of rehab team Be available for team daily or assign this task to the Team Leader/Rehab Director

• Communication Communicate regularly with team (presence, calls, meetings, emails) Address behavior or performance problems and use corrective action as needed; use formal verbal warning independently and involve director if more steps are needed Oversee documentation of team to ensure guidelines are followed-assist with implementation of peer review 2x/year Ensure team completes documentation, discharges, authorizations, etc. in timely manner Communicate with referring physicians/practices or facilitate other staff to do so as needed Communicate needs of acute care team with outpatient team as needed Communicate daily with supervisors, team leaders and director regarding staffing issues, problems, meetings Communicate with schedulers as needed to meet goals of our team Communicate with Redoc when there are problems, communicate this with outpatient teams Post important information/processes in Teams Update Helpful Insurance Hints as needed Recognize and reward staff for excellence in behavior and performance, for birthdays and other milestones

• Schedule Approve time off for team Oversee Kronos for your team each day Co-lead weekly OP staff meetings Co-lead entire rehab team meetings 3-4x/year Oversee that mentor meetings have an agenda; cancel when staffing is low/patient care is priority Handle call outs and facilitate schedule changes; consider staff in other locations when possible; communicate with supervisors/team leaders/director/front office coordinators as applicable re: call outs Continually monitor staffing needs and flex or secure additional staff requisitions when needed

• Environment Oversee clean environment and TJC standards Contact maintenance or biomed or enable others do so

• Managing Staff Oversee front office coordinators in your location Ensure policies and procedures are followed Facilitate new forms to be submitted to the forms committee Co-monitor with director LifeTalent and license compliance Schedule time to meet with new employees, follow up weekly for first 90 days (informally except at 90 days unless formal meetings are needed); assist with getting department specific checklist, overall department and building orientation, 90 day form, department orientation, competency forms if needed Assist with creation of schedules for new staff to ensure orientation with other staff including supervisor, schedule is filled and appropriate for skill level of new employee Keep staff files up to date in Teams Conduct annual performance appraisals for your team Collect monthly dashboard statistics to hospital while addressing anything under expectations each month with individuals or all staff involved

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Education: Master's degree required. Doctoral degree preferred.

Licenses: Physical Therapy License in North Carolina.

Experience: 3 years experience in the field preferred.

Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire and maintain thereafter.
