Tenneco is looking for a Maintenance / Automated Assembly Operator that will be demonstrating mechanical ability. Provide flexibility and able to effectively coordinate several activities simultaneously, switching amongst tasks as necessary. RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform all tasks involved in the production of rotator assemblies. Understand and follow all standard operating procedures concerning safety, quality, packaging, labeling, logging in shop order numbers, TPM, OEE, etc. Operate an automatic assembly machine. Perform station checks to ensure that all inspection stations are working properly and escalate issues as necessary. Understand the 25% rule of crimp station. Perform only simple adjustments to driver. Report defective materials to inspector or Supervisor. Safely operate required material handling equipment. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety rules. Responsible for inspecting machines and electrical equipment and carry out preventive maintenance to ensure that machines remain operational. Carry out routine servicing of equipment as part of measures to prevent breakdowns and malfunctions, which could prevent production activities. Demonstrate understanding of lot traceability requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to frequently lift 35 pounds. Regularly required to stand, climb stairs, or move about the facility. Frequent lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive hand movements. Infrequent exposure to share metal edges during replacement of pallet belts, (personal protection equipment provided.) REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: At minimum: 2 - 5 years of hands-on experience in the manufacturing field. Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctions form non-schedule downtime.
