The Brunswick Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Plumbing, Painting, Security and Protective Services, HVAC, Landscaping, Electrical, and Building Construction Technology.

As an OA/CTS Admissions Counselor, you will be at the forefront of connecting prospective students with the opportunities available at Brunswick Job Corps. Your role is crucial in guiding individuals through the admissions process, providing information, and ensuring a smooth transition into our educational and vocational programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Student Outreach:Actively engage with potential students through various channels, including phone calls, emails, and outreach events, to provide information about Brunswick Job Corps and its programs.

  • Admissions Guidance:Assist prospective students in navigating the admissions process, providing detailed information on program offerings, admission requirements, and any other relevant details.

  • Individualized Counseling: Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions to understand the unique needs and goals of each prospective student, offering personalized guidance on program selection and career paths.

  • Application Processing:Manage the admissions application process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all required documentation.

  • Collaboration with Departments:Work closely with various departments within Brunswick Job Corps, including academic and vocational programs, to coordinate and facilitate a seamless transition for admitted students.

  • Community Partnerships: Establish and maintain positive relationships with local schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to enhance awareness and facilitate student recruitment.

  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prospective and admitted students, ensuring compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Associates degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications or closely related field and two years related experience required. Bachelors degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field preferred. Experience may include successful Job Corps enrollment or successful enrollment in other youth development programs. Must possess a valid in-State Drivers License and meet Company insurability requirements
