Scope of Job
Graduate Research Assistantships are available to full-time PhD students. Students are assigned to a specific faculty member and will assist the faculty member to accomplish the goals of the project for which the assistantship is funded.
Discipline Specific Required Qualifications
The Graduate Research Assistantships are available to PhD students in Human Genetics and will be funded by grants from the National Institutes of Health. All personnel funded by these awards will be expected to comply with federal laws, regulations, and policies protecting the rights and safety of individuals working on NIH -funded projects. Graduate Research Assistants will be assigned to a specific faculty member for specific projects. Duties are related to the student’s field of study and will vary depending upon the project but will include activities such as data collection, data analysis, preparation of manuscripts, and other duties as assigned. Graduate Research Assistants will work 20 hours per week with flexible distribution.
Preferred Qualifications
The Graduate Research Assistant position is available to full-time PhD students in good academic standing and in the Human Genetics PhD Program.
