WestRock Company Maintenance Technician in Brownstown Twp, Michigan

Pay Rates: $27.25/hr-$37.94/hr (based on experience)

Hiring for 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am shifts

\u2022 Performs mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance of production equipment, i.e. corrugator, die cut or flexo machines.

\u2022 Uses rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments accurately.

\u2022 Prepares and operates machine tools such as grinders, and drill presses to repair or fabricate machine parts and/or fixtures.

\u2022 Troubleshoots electric and electronic problems.

\u2022 Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical components.

\u2022 Troubleshoots motors, pumps, compressors and any other systems in the plant.

\u2022 Performs preventative maintenance.

\u2022 Maintains accurate maintenance records.

\u2022 Operates scissors and forklifts.

\u2022 Performs other job duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed:

Prior experience in manufacturing/warehouse or mechanical environment preferred

Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics

Strong technical knowledge of general mechanical and/or electrical systems

Computer skills

Ability to follow established process and procedures

Ability to work in fast paced and changing environment

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, bend or walk consistently
