Honeywell’s ACST Team is seeking a curious and mission-driven Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Environments and Infrastructure team in Broomfield, CO.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Implementing sample environments in support of laboratory experimentation

Developing and designing architectures involving heat and fluid flow in cryogenic environments

Supporting the design and development of integrated solutions with cryogenics being a key component

The annual base salary for this position is $92,800.00 - $$139,000.00 Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. As an Operation Excellence Admin here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in supporting the operational excellence initiatives and driving process improvements across the organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior managers, and directors to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize operational processes. Your attention to detail and strong organizational skills will contribute to streamlining operations and enhancing overall efficiency.

In this role, you will have a direct impact on improving operational efficiency, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of excellence within the organization.

CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENTS

U.S. Citizenship is required due contractual requirements.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics

  • Experience working with working with isothermal, multiphase, and/or recuperative heat exchangers

  • Experience designing and running experiments

  • US Citizenship to obtain or maintain a security clearance

WE VALUE

  • Masters or above in Mechanical Engineering with 0-4 years of industry experience depending on educational background

  • Proven track record of working with systems investigating physical phenomena, particularly thermal fluids, multiphase fluids, and/or supercritical CO2

  • Proven track record of heat exchanger design.

  • Previous experience mentoring/leading teams and helping to build team skills

  • Experience developing and implementing test plans, with the ability to adapt to unexpected test conditions and experimental.

  • Demonstrated ability to design, analyze, operate, build, and test complex systems

  • Demonstrated experience with modeling, simulation tools, and analytical techniques related to fluid dynamics (e.g., Matlab, Mathematica, COMSOL, Python, LabVIEW)

  • Current security clearance for work on government contracts
