What is the job about? * *
The primary role of this person will be to manage the day-to-day facility operations of the Headquarters site in Brookshire, TX.The facility manager will have a primary role to ensure the operation and maintenance of the Grundfos campus in Brookshire, TX and support all other US locations of the company. This will include activities both on an operational and tactical levels, ranging from daily tasks to maintenance and investment planning. This position ensures that facilities in the US live up to Grundfos’ high standards and business demands. Additionally, the facility manager drives improvements and upgrade projects, specified in collaboration with Group Facility Management.This role will work directly for the Country President, and a dotted line reporting to Sr. Director Group Facility Management, The role will work in collaboration with Group FM Real Estate, Group FM Security, Group FM Projects and Investments and Group EHS. This role does not have direct reports and will operate daily out of our Brookshire, TX facility.
Your main responsibilities :
Ensure that the buildings at the Brookshire campus are maintained and operated in the best possible way, while complying with relevant legal requirements, local standards and Grundfos internal rules
Adjust facility equipment and system to ensure a reliable and efficient operation, for the satisfaction of the users of the building.
Focus on a well-balanced indoor climate to fulfill the function of the building.
Oversee regulatory OSHA requirements as it pertains to building management, working alongside EHS.
Gatekeeper on all real estate leases and agreements for USA.
Ensure relevant facility data, documentation and building drawings are current and accessible as needed.
Ensure standardization of facility standard operating procedures (SOPs), including but not limited to security requirements, safety and sustainability efforts.
Ensure synergies and cooperation between facilities and strive to deploy best practices that optimize costs, improve efficiency and reliability.
Deliver yearly facility data for benchmarking and budgetary input.
Drive facility related projects in the USA as needed.
Establish regional condition overview of facilities, buildings and utility assets.
Support and sustainability initiatives.
Your background
We imagine that you have:
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in the field of facility management preferred, or in lieu of degree must have 5+ years of demonstrated equivalent facilities management in the technical arena .
Education in the field of mechanical engineering/building engineering
Knowledge within BMS – Buildings Management Systems. Grundfos use Schneider BMS.
5-years of experience in operation and maintenances of facilities, preferably in an industrial environment
5 years of experience in management of building related investment projects
Good track record of managing contractors and vendors
Prior experience working with people and building successful teams
Able to understand and solve of complex technical issues
(i.e. HVAC and refrigeration, rainwater harvesting and water treatment, PV solar systems).
Able to troubleshoot facility related technical problems
Able to handle time pressure and stressed situations
Good at communication on all levels, thorough and comprehensive in reporting and conveying recommendations
High aptitude using Microsoft office
The ability to operate daily out of the Brookshire TX facility
Approximately 25 travel days per year
Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
