Seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a focus on electrical controls with PLC and HMI, to join our engineering team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining packaging machine solutions to enhance our customers' manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design electrical controls with PLC and HMIs, and ensure seamless integration with electrical systems. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for electrical controls engineering including hardware and software designs utilized with packaging machines and industrial process systems. Develop and modify PLC and HMI programs and control systems for standard and custom packaging systems used in the food and consumer products industries. Coordinate electrical and control requirements with equipment mechanical design Ensure electrical equipment and designs meet required standards, such as NEC, IEC, NEMA, UL508A, CSA. Technical writing skills for control system operations and maintenance. Works with service department and customer to conduct in-house factory acceptance testing, and generally provides service department with controls and electrical system support both in-house and at project sites as needed. Coordinate with the production and QC departments to refine and improve work. Meet defined schedules, deadlines, and goals. Provide support for on-site start-ups. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, preferable Electrical, or equivalent combination of education and experience Proficient in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC programming software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to efficiently learn new PLC and HMI software platforms. Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects and adapt quickly to time-sensitive needs. Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation.
