EAC Network, a dynamic not-for-profit organization serving over 62,888 individuals through 100 impactful programs across Long Island and NYC, is looking for a committed Veteran Case Manager for our Brooklyn Misdemeanor Treatment Veteran's Court Program.

  • Reporting Structure:Directly report to the Program Director and contribute to a meaningful cause.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Comprehensive Assessments:Conduct interviews to evaluate client needs, referring them to psychologists for further testing if necessary.

  • Effective Treatment Planning:Develop and present detailed treatment plans to the Court.

  • Personalized Support:Facilitate client placements into appropriate treatment programs and assist with securing benefits such as public assistance, SSD/SSI, housing, and medical care.

  • Ongoing Case Management:Maintain meticulous client records, conduct regular follow-ups, and escort clients to treatment facilities when needed.

  • Group Facilitation:Lead Seeking Safety groups to support veteran clients in their recovery journey.

  • Agency Collaboration:Perform timely site visits to treatment agencies to ensure seamless service delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Educational Background:Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Behavioral Science, or a related mental health field, or equivalent experience in substance abuse and mental health.

  • Experience:Knowledge of treatment programs and the Veterans Administration is essential.

  • Skills:Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with treatment and mental health systems.

  • Tech-Savvy:Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, email, and database software.

  • Additional:Must be able to manage caseloads and support clients effectively.
