Assistant Women's Soccer Coach, Part-Time (71116)Location: Brooklyn, NYDescription:The Department of Athletics and Recreation is searching for a Part-Time Assistant Women's Soccer Coach who is a positive, energetic and enthusiastic leader with the ability to teach, motivate, build, develop, and recruit student-athletes. Reporting to the Head Women's Soccer Coach, the Assistant Coach will assist in developing, organizing and administering all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division III soccer program. This is a part-time stipend position, paid bi-weekly.The Assistant Coach must be able to build positive relationships with student-athletes, coaches, staff and campus partners. They will help support the athletic, academic and personal development of the Women's Soccer team with a commitment to sportsmanship, respect, diversity, equity and inclusion.The Department of Athletics and Recreation is committed to providing a wide range of activities and services that assist Pratt students of various backgrounds and abilities in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Pratt has an athletics history dating back to the founding of the institution in 1887. Pratt is an NCAA Division III institution and will join the Atlantic East Conference as full members in the 2024-25 academic year.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist the Head Coach with various aspects of coaching, such as planning and executing practices, video review and opponent scouting, and game planningDrive the team to practices and games in Pratt Institute vansAid in prospective student-athlete recruitmentFollow NCAA Division III rules and regulations and pass annual Coaches ExamPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:Required QualificationsBachelor's degreeSoccer Coaching and/or Playing experienceAvailability to work nights and weekends for games and early morning practices is a mustValid drivers license with the ability to drive a 12-passenger vanAbility to work well in a diverse environmentAED/CPR/First Aid CertificationPreferred QualificationsSoccer coaching experience at the collegiate levelUSSF / USCA Coaching LicensesGoalkeeper coaching a plusCollegiate recruiting experienceSalary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
