Job Description:

The Operations Sr Project Engineer will lead the execution of operations projects in the power tool accessories business unit. In this position, you will lead cross-functional team members throughout the execution phase of project(s) which typically have a 3-12mo. duration. This role is responsible for managing multiple, low to moderately complex projects in parallel.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage medium-sized projects with moderate complexity and multiple stakeholders, following project management protocol.

  • Schedule, develop agendas for, and facilitate project meetings. Document discussion with action items to effectively capture meeting topics.

  • Develop and track project schedule to ensure adherence to timelines; keep team and management informed of project issues. Identify and mitigate project risks. Escalate as appropriate.

  • Mentors junior team members or newer project engineers.

  • Contributes to Relentless Improvement of business processes.

  • Works cross-functionally and globally with project team members from Quality, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance and IT.

  • Communicates technical details, ideas, and concepts to engineers and non-engineers in multiple locations.

  • Lead formal project technical reviews and participate in management reviews for assigned projects.

  • Accountable for technical elements of project execution including integration of equipment, tooling, capability reviews, manufacturing process and safety, regulatory and standards compliance.

  • Regularly visits the production sites and suppliers to maintain open lines of communication.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or equivalent years of directly related experience in Operations roles

  • Formal project management training preferred.

  • Proven experience managing medium, moderately complex projects.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project management of operations or manufacturing experience.

  • Communicate, both verbally and written, to ensure team members are working toward the goal of timely project completion.

  • Ability to establish rapport and credibility.

  • Excellent problem identification and resolution skills.

  • Results driven and deadline oriented. Ability to manage projects to aggressive schedules and results.

  • Ability to handle fast paced and agile culture. Ability to adapt to constant change and competing priorities.

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software including Microsoft Project.

  • Periodic travel may be required up to 25%.
