Consider this opportunity: LiDAR & 3D Modeling Specialist / Land Survey CAD Technician - Primary Responsibilities: * Static and UAS derived LiDAR data collection in both interior and exterior environments * Assisting with setting conventional survey control for static and UAS derived LiDAR data collection efforts * Processing of static LiDAR data sets, including point cloud registration, QA/QC checks to survey control, and general preparation for data extraction * Processing of UAS derived imagery to orthophotography, including QA/QC checks to survey control and general preparation for data extraction * Processing of UAS derived aerial LiDAR data sets, including trajectory processing, QA/QC checks to survey control, point cloud data classification and general preparation for data extraction * Data extraction from orthophotography and point cloud data sets, including 2D planimetric features, 3D topography, and BIM modeling (including architectural, structural and MEP elements) * Reviewing assigned project files for necessary materials and information to carry out project scope and drafting tasks. * Providing thorough analysis of field notes, legal descriptions, title easements, design plans, utility plans and construction layout notes. * Developing an understanding of surveying concepts, our company business and how surveying is integrated into plans and projects , Transportation Plats, Condominium Plats, Subdivision Plats, legal descriptions and other survey exhibits. * Developing an understanding of surveying concepts, our company business and how surveying is integrated into plans and projects. * Other duties as assigned LiDAR & 3D Modeling Specialist / Land Survey CAD Technician - Benefits: raSmith has a strong history of maintaining a people-oriented culture that provides a great work-life balance and a highly competitive compensation and benefit package.
