AB Electronics LLC Manufacturing Engineering Technician in Brookfield, Connecticut

AB Electronics is looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join our team!

The Manufacturing Engineering Technician supports the Engineering team by developing and maintaining robust, cost-efficient manufacturing processes and product structures. This position is responsible for programming, monitoring, and troubleshooting production equipment and evaluating equipment and processes for improvement potential.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

As a member of the Manufacturing Engineering team, you will participate in all phases of I.E. / M.E. programs to ensure efficient production processing. You will also provide technical guidance on specialized techniques to others within and outside the manufacturing department. Our ideal candidate will have a natural desire to improve processes and a drive to learn quickly and adapt to a variety of technologies.

A great Manufacturing Engineering Technician is a detail-oriented problem-solver capable of programming and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment. Being a team player is also essential since this position requires close interdepartmental collaboration.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Generate standard procedures and troubleshooting guides using assembly prints, drawings and specifications
  • Instruct production personnel in the correct use of tools or equipment to develop their proficiency
  • Analyze Engineering change notices to determine the most efficient way of introducing such changes into the production process
  • Evaluate the manufacturing process and equipment programs, seeking areas for improved quality and/or efficiency
  • Provide daily production support to set up, troubleshoot, repair, and monitor equipment used for production
  • Collaborate with area supervisors regarding new product introductions and training
  • Create and implement work instructions to support ISO certification program

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Associate degree in engineering or 2 years of electronics manufacturing experience
  • Strong proficiency in Windows OS, including MS Office
  • Good understanding of blueprints, assembly drawings and schematics
  • Understanding of basic electrical circuitry

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART

  • CAD experience
  • Working knowledge of electromechanical and/or automated systems
  • Other technical training and/or certifications
  • Technical capability to troubleshoot electro-mechanical, pneumatic and automated controls
