Position Overview:

Under supervision of the Program Director, the Case Aide is responsible for providing coverage, support, and crisis intervention to tenants/guests/staff at Ilene R. Smith. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Pays: $35,000 per year

  • Ensure the safety of the facility and the tenants.

  • ensure tenants are in basic adherence with Rules and Regulations, provide mild interventions, keep staff up to date to provide higher level interventions

  • Enter Progress Notes in Awards for all tenant interactions and daily report logs promptly and accurately.

  • Ensure facilities are maintained and repairs are followed up to create a positive environment of care. This includes ensuring the staff areas and communal areas are cleaned and organized and trash is emptied. Work orders to be forwarded to the appropriate person.

  • Monitor the facilities, staff, and tenants to ensure that all operations are within the Acacia's expectations, regulations, and contractual obligations

  • Provide on-site crisis intervention

  • Maintains appropriate documentation of all tenant's contacts in log

  • Handle special assignments, duties and functions as assigned

  • House Runs and Home Visits -Conduct Home Inspections of tenant units and maintain a regular presence in the lobby and on the residential floors during scheduled program hours.

  • Maintains notes on approved tenant meetings held in conference room

  • Assist tenants with laundry, shopping, appointments, if needed and directed by supervisor

  • Ensure laundry room is closed/opened at appropriate hours

  • Acts as liaison between participants, superintendents and building managers to ensure all emergency repairs are reported

  • Maintains a Resident Monitor Log, which includes tenant/guest activity and facility observations

  • Reports all non-compliance issues with respect to the tenants, guests, apartments and building to the Supportive Housing Manager or On-Call Staff, including incidents requiring immediate attention

  • High School Diploma/GED required; associate degree preferred

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish), preferred
