WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
Coordinate routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to performance; disciplinary matters; complaints and investigations; Key Performance Indicators; productivity, recognition and morale, internal and external audits, data management/ generating reports, occupational health and safety and contribution to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. The home office for this position will be in Bronx, NY. This position requires traveling to other sites to include NYC, Long Island and Hudson Valley regions.
• Assist the director with the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department • Oversees the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.• Oversees the Performance Review process including updating evaluation templates for new positions and collecting and updating annual goals from the department heads• Updates and reports to Director on any employee concerns and/or complaints
• Conduct initial inquiry process for cases that may lead to Progressive Disciplinary actions as instructed by the Director of Human Resources. Document summary of interview and discuss with Director of Human Resources for next steps • Generate reports to determine and update accrual rates for eligible employees • Use the HR software for data analytics, employee status updates, reporting and information integrity • Facilitate meetings with Program Directors and Managers as necessary on high level employee matters• Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and management, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff• Maintains compliance with Federal, State, and local employment and payroll laws, regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and procedures to remain in accordance with State and Federal guidelines • Assist in employee relations practices to foster a positive employer-employee engagement • Assist with updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions• Maintain the Personnel Action Form (PAF) Dashboard for accuracy

Salary: $75,000 - $76,500 annually
FLSA: Exempt
Schedule: 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday
WHAT DO I NEED?
Education:Bachelor’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, preferred; SHRM-CP and or ability to obtain certification within 1-2 years in a Senior Generalist role
Experience:5 to 7 years of experience with a concentration in employee relations
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in English required. Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Computer Skills: Basic competency in MS Windows, MS Office, HRIS systems, and on the Internet.
Math Skills: Must be excellent.
Physical Performance: Light bending, short distance walking in between offices,
Reasoning Ability: Ability to prioritize, make appropriate decisions and judgment calls.
Other Skills: Ability to work independently or as part of a team, be highly organized, assume responsibility, work well under pressure, meet deadlines, multitask, be flexible, and maintain a high level of attention to details. Must be even-tempered, have good negotiation skills, and the ability to meet unexpected deadlines. Knowledge of local/state/federal compliance laws.
