Actalent Phlebotomist in Bronx, New York

Job Title: PhlebotomistJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist with a minimum of 2 years of recent practice. The successful candidate must be proficient in pediatrics and heel sticks, and comfortable performing venipunctures with straight needles independently from day one. They should also be reliable, punctual, and possess strong communication skills. Job duties include performing blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, updating patient information, and more. The candidate will also be required to demonstrate clear and courteous explanation of the venipuncture or other specimen collection processes to patients. Another essential responsibility includes accurately matching laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, packaging specimens for transport, and storing them according to required temperature.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Bronx, New York.

Work Environment

The position is stationary and located in the Bronx. The site has a high volume of pediatric patients. The work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm and every other Saturday, 9am-3pm.
