Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities- The candidate who obtains this position must qualify and advance through career path training to Electrical Technician title in Gas Operations and must be fully operator qualified in this title within twelve months from accepting this position. The candidate will then advance through career path training to Senior Electrical Technician title in Gas Operations and must be fully operator qualified in this title within twelve months of achieving the Electrician Technician title.
- Read electrical schematics.
- Work maintaining and installing new Instrumentation and Controls for natural gas equipment.
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience- High School Diploma/GED and 2 years equivalent or relevant technical experience Relevant technical experience or
- Associate's Degree In Electrical Technology or equivalent field
- 2 years Must have a thorough understanding of DC electricity, as well as basic knowledge of AC electricity. Required and
- Must be able to read electrical schematics. Required and
- Proficient in the use of laptop computers. Required and
- Must be familiar with digital multi-meters and other testing equipment. Required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and
- Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities and
- Performs work independently with minimal supervision and
- Demonstrates a high commitment to quality
- Driver's License Required
- Ability to respond to system emergencies
- Able to work in all weather conditions, i.e. excessive heat and/or cold
- Perform extended driving through heavy traffic and severe off-road conditions
- Perform heavy manual labor, i.e. push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to carry tools and materials when climbing ladders and scaffolds, and entering confined spaces
- Ability to work in adverse conditions that include, noise, confined spaces, and high elevations
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs
- Ability to work on elevated platforms, scaffolds, catwalks, roofs, and/or other equipment
- Perform work in underground vaults through manholes
- Ability to work in inclement weather and adverse conditions (i.e., excessive heat, cold, noise, confined spaces)
- Ability to work with, and in, the vicinity of high voltage and/or other high-energy systems
- Ability to climb in and out of manholes and excavations
- Stand, walk, and climb ladders and stairs for the duration of the workday
- Stand, walk, lift, climb, bend, kneel, stoop, and/or reach for the duration of the workday
- Ability to use hand tools and operate heavy machinery, i.e. jackhammers
- Unload materials from delivery vehicles and deliver equipment and materials to various operating facilities
- Use hand-eye coordination to adjust controls on equipment
- Wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), i.e. fire-retardant clothing and safety harnesses
- Work with equipment with a manufacturer weight rating of 350lbs
- Use equipment with a maximum weight rating of 375lbs when wearing and/or carrying 25lbs of clothing and equipment
- Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.

Minimum Salary: 25.75 Maximum Salary: 40.08 Salary Unit: Hourly
