Job Summary

Responsible for all field issues within a defined region. Coordinates day-to-day management of field activities relating to a contractor and employee base to improving the network and operational performance. Coordinates projected workload volumes based on marketing activities and operational capacity. Execute comprehensive contractor management strategy to deliver customer experience, similar to that provided by in-house technicians.

Responsibilities
  • Executes policies, including employee, customer and operational policies.
  • Recommends process changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Operations.
  • Manages the efficient and effective delivery of service to customers by implementing Network operations policies. Designs and implements processes that provide for a high level of Network satisfaction. Meets company service standards and commitments.
  • Develops and manages an organization that is proficient in delivering and supporting multiple products, delivers trained personnel in accordance with staffing plans and business requirements.
  • Maintains plant infrastructure from the Hub sites to the customers Tap. Adheres to a maintenance programs and ensures compliance to engineering specifications.
  • Develops and manages to achieve operating & capital budgets and forecasts.
  • Provides good working conditions for employees that are secure, clean, and safe.
  • Provides a forum for formal and informal communications among Field Operations management and staff.
  • Ensures that employees are trained and equipped with the tools to perform their jobs successfully.
  • Maintains the HFC network to exceed SLA performance standards and FCC requirements through effective preventive and demand maintenance.
  • Provides quality internal and external customer service surrounding the Company values
  • Manages programs and operations for Installation and fulfillment, Plant maintenance (HFC), Dispatch, Work Force Automation (WFA) and FCC standards and compliance.
  • Coordinates the technical operations capital and operating budget process and monitor activity throughout the year to ensure capital and operating expenses are controlled according to meet or exceed the business plan.
  • Manages the involvement of vendors and subcontractors with ownership of all Onboarding, Off boarding and Credentialing.
  • Ensures contractor and employee compliance with all safety initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years business management experience, with demonstrated increased levels of responsibility within the cable or telecommunications industry is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing multiple departments within the Field Operations or a similar environment.
  • Proven successful experience in launching new products and services in the telecommunications industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and leadership.
  • MS Office Software Proficiency in Excel, Word, & Power Point.
  • Skills and experience in building and leading teams, developing skills in others, fostering collaboration and building consensus across the Company.
  • Ability to understand and respond effectively to activity interdependencies to ensure that they do not negatively affect the delivery of service to customers.
  • Strong project management skills; the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and initiatives; and skill in identifying, analyzing and resolving problems.
  • Demonstrated successful experience in managing a large Field Service Department involving multiple locations and a large geography.
  • Understanding of the technical components relating to HFC and fiber networks.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, applicable to state law.

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in New York State. Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law. Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted location is $141,372.00-$201,960.00/year. The rate/range provided herein is the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflect future job opportunity.
