JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the Head Teacher, the Assistant is responsible for age appropriate activities for children and the implementation of classroom curriculum.

RESPONSIBILITIES -Commit to using evidence-based practices (EBP); Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma-Informed Care (TIC), critical time intervention, and boundary setting, to help clients achieve their goals.
-Participate in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curricula encompassing the social/emotional, physical and intellectual needs of Win children.
-Follow Wins philosophy and goals of the Child Care program. -Attend program staff meetings, child treatment reviews, case conferences, and supervisory sessions. -Attend child care related trainings onsite and offsite. -Must be able to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and days that NYC schools are closed.

QUALIFICATIONS -Commitment to Wins mission, vision, and values. -Associates degree or Teachers Assistant Certification required.
-Knowledge and skill relating to planning activities for infants and pre-school children.
-Ability to interact in a supportive and nurturing manner with children and parents.
-Must have knowledge of and have sensitivity to the needs of homeless or at-risk families.
-Must submit to a medical screening to ensure good health as required by the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Bureau of Child Care.
