Aerotek Service Technician in Brighton, Colorado

Service Technician

Job Description:

Join our team and work with cutting-edge technologies and sustainable innovations across various industries, including electronics, medical research, renewable energy, food production, and infrastructure. As a Field Service Technician (FST), you will be based in our Brighton, CO store and travel to customer sites within the region. You will spend 70% of your time at Suncore in Colorado, our largest client, with minimal out-of-state or overnight travel.

This hybrid position allows flexibility, and you won’t need to come into the store every day. Initially, you will work in the shop before transitioning to an independent service technician role.

Position: Service Technician

Location: On-site in Brighton, CO

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the fleet in the field, including washing machinery, changing filters, performing oil changes, and preparing equipment for rental.

  • Troubleshoot and perform diagnostics on malfunctioning equipment.

  • Repair equipment in the field at various customer locations.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on compressors and machinery.

  • Document all work performed using company-provided hardware and software.

  • Develop and optimize efficient processes and routines.

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years of industrial mechanic experience.

  • Expertise in diesel and electrical systems (up to 4160 mid voltage, 480v).

  • Experience in maintenance, repair, and overhaul.

  • Knowledge of compressors is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Mid-sized shop environment with a smaller service team.

  • On-call for emergencies only, approximately 1 call every 2-4 months.

  • First shift, Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM.

  • Pay based on experience:

  • Apprentice: $25-30/hour,

  • Service Tech: $32-38/hour (could go $40+ with 10-15 years of direct experience).

Required Tools:

  • 1 metric set and 1 imperial set.

  • Minimum of 1 Standard & Metric socket set, assorted ratchets & extensions, combination wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, needle nose, channel locks, wire cutters, wire strippers, wire crimpers, decent brand 3/8’’ & ¼’’ impact, drill bits, pick set, scrapers, crescent wrenches, and pry bars.

  • Recommended tools should be of good quality (e.g., Craftsman, Kobalt, Milwaukee).
