THE FINE ARTS CENTER Assistant Office Manager Director in BRIGHAM CITY, Utah

This is a parttime job for someone who is passionate about helping the Fine

Arts Center continue its mission of "Empowering Lives through the Arts". This is an onsite paid

position that may include occasional volunteer service. It includes opportunity for a variety of

daily job skills from records management, people management, to light housekeeping/facility

management.

Pay is negotiable: Starting at $15/hour or more

Applicant qualifications:

  1. Prefer certificate of one or more years of college education.

  2. Good command of the English language and proper business writing styles.

  3. Able to edit documents for grammar, flow of content and overall intent

  4. Good people skills and office etiquette on the phone and in person.

  5. Good communication and message taking skills

  6. Good record keeping habits

  7. Good at basic math skills and able to do data entry

  8. Good reliability and self-time management

  9. Knowledgeable of and capable with basic computer skills: including use of Word,

Excel, Canva, Quick Books (QBO preferred), Publisher, Google Docs, Adobe/PDF files

  1. Able to negotiate and keep a three day a week work schedule- averaging 15 hours per

week.*

*(Flexible hours if and as negotiated ahead of time- prefer a week ahead and on a

regular ) schedule for planning purposes. Possibility for increased hours in the future-

as programs grow)

Job tasks: Work under and assist Fine Arts Center director in the following tasks:

  1. Help with maintaining office records organization

  2. Proofread grants, fundraising documents, website content, and press releases.

  3. Occasional assistance in writing of grants

  4. Help with financial data entry, banking needs and overseeing of book keeper

  5. Help as needed with coordination of marketing /advertising

  6. Help with fundraising program and record keeping

  7. Assist class and program manager in planning and implementation

  8. Assist with electronic sign messaging (controlled from office computer).

  9. Periodic back up support at reception/registration desk

  10. Occasionally, when in office, assist with classroom set ups -- may include washing and

moving tables and chairs, sweeping the floor

  1. Could include attending professional/ community meetings with or for FAC Director

  2. Help oversee volunteers/volunteer projects

  3. Help oversee the assigned cleaning person

  4. May include assisting with local supply purchases

  5. May include periodic early evening office support (as negotiated)

  6. Attend weekly staff meetings ( 1 hour at noon on Mondays**)

** day and time might be re-negotiable)
