POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sr Manager Finance Co-Pilot role is crucial for driving growth for the Nuun and CBE (Carnation Breakfast Essentials) Brands by partnering with the Lifestyle commercial teams. This position involves collaborating with sales, marketing, and operations on strategic planning and execution. Responsibilities include owning the forecasting process, delivering executive reports, and managing a compliant month-end close process. Additionally, this role entails conducting ad hoc ROI analyses to inform investment decisions, managing and analyzing budgets, overseeing period-end close, and optimizing processes within the Finance department. This position will require monthly travel to our corporate office in Bridgewater, NJ. The preferred candidate will be within commutable distance to a Nestle Health Science Headquarter location ( NJ, NY metro, Chicago, IL, Palm Beach, FL)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Planning & Control (40%)

  • Allocate resources to meet consumer demands and drive long-term value for the brand portfolio

  • Oversee the preparation and review of MBS, ICP, and MBP forecasts, ensuring coordination across functions for accurate budgets and forecasts

  • Analyze and challenge the product portfolio to identify cost optimization opportunities, eliminate value destroyers, optimize the mix, and maximize ROI from commercial spend

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and FP&A to drive understanding, generate insights, and influence business results

  • Drive E2E focus on optimizing cost structure and driving cost improvements including structural cost

  • Work with functional finance leads on forecasting, closing, projects, savings, etc.

  • Drive decision-making and accountability to achieve financial targets; partner and educate on value creation

People Leadership (30%)

  • Actively lead, coach and inspire a team

  • Develop direct reports to meet direct reports' personal and professional objectives

Projects/Initiatives (15%)

  • Support business unit I&R and strategic growth pipeline including evaluating steady state financial feasibility, development of E2E capability, and capacity to support growth

  • Support special projects such as M&A, sourcing, integration, and business transformation

  • Define the financial framework for approval of spend on product launches, promotions, campaigns, etc.

  • Support division process improvement and business initiatives

Reporting & Analysis (10%)

  • Provide ad hoc executive summary insights, narrative, trends, variances, risks and opportunities

  • Review monthly performance, identify areas of risk to achieving business unit targets, and develop follow-up action plans

Internal Control (5%)

  • Ensure full compliance with NAS and adherence to all policies and guidelines

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting

  • MBA a plus !

  • 7 + years’ experience in financial planning and reporting

  • Excellent analytical skills via Excel and other tools

  • Background in CPG and manufacturing environment a plus

The approximate pay range for this position is $124,000- $170,000 base. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
