Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Bridgewater, New Jersey

Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Bridgewater, New Jersey. The role will be will involve assisting the accounting and finance teams with a variety of tasks. The workplace will be fast-paced and dynamic, providing an environment that encourages growth and learning.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the filing and organization of financial documents to maintain a systematic record.

• Input data into spreadsheets to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.

• Support bookkeeping activities to aid in the effective management of financial resources.

• Prepare invoices for customers, ensuring all details are accurate and complete.

• Track expenses to monitor the company's spending and contribute to cost saving measures.

• Maintain records of transactions to enable easy retrieval and reference.

• Use software tools such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to perform tasks efficiently.

• Perform account reconciliation to ensure all financial records are accurate and up to date.

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable operations to manage the company's financial obligations and incoming revenue.

• Process billing information and carry out data entry tasks accurately and promptly.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Experience with billing procedures and invoice processing

• Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

• Proven problem-solving abilities and analytical skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
