Responsible for the day-to-day implementation and follow-up management of participants in the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab Department. This position requires using adult education principles and an excellent understanding of cardiovascular disease and treatment, pulmonary disease and treatment, risk factor management, exercise physiology, behavior changes, and cardiovascular and respiratory emergency procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology. 2. Obtain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire date. 3. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification required within one (1) year of employment. 4. CPR Certification. EXPERIENCE: 1. Internship or prior experience in Cardiac and/or Pulmonary Rehab setting.

Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills. 4. Receives and documents new patient referrals and follows up appropriately. 5. Accurately assesses BMI and body fat percentage. 6. Assists in the development and implementation of the patient's plan of care. 7. Provides exercise counseling on an individual patient basis as needed. 8. Educates patients/families about disease specific topics (cardiovascular and pulmonary). 9. Educates patients/families about risk modification (cardiovascular and pulmonary). 10. Assists in actively marketing and promoting the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab Programs in the community. 11. Completes all assignments and job duties in a timely, efficient manner. 12. Monitors and supervises patient exercise classes. 13. Documents patient's exercise data with clear and concise charting. 14.
