8 Landscape Laborers needed for temporary, full-time employment from 4/1/25 to 11/1/25.  Work will be performed at multiple worksites in Belmont County, OH and in Ohio & Marshall counties, WV.

 

Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Lay sod, mow, trim, plant, weeding, watering, dig holes with shovel, rake, blow leaves; spread grass seed, fertilizer and mulch; sprinkler installation/repair, installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units. Maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning. May drive company truck to transport crews, plants, materials and tools to/from or at worksites.

 

 

No minimum education or experience required.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Must be able to work a 5-day schedule, including Saturdays & Sundays as needed.

Employer paid drug testing required of foreign and domestic workers prior to commencing work, post-hire random, upon suspicion of use, and post-accident.   Post-Hire Motor Vehicle record check required only of foreign and domestic workers who drive company vehicles (driving is not a requirement of all workers in the position).

Required uniform provided at no charge to the worker. 

 

The employer will offer 40 hours of work per week. Normal schedule Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. Shift includes 1-hour unpaid break time. Work on Saturdays and Sundays may be required. Workdays and shift time may vary depending on weather conditions.

 

Basic rate of pay $15.28 per hour. Employer may increase wage based on experience, market conditions, and/or provide additional pay for performance and tenure. Workers are eligible to accrue paid time off. Bonuses provided for exemplary/merit-based work.

 

Overtime may be available. An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a-half after 40 hours in a workweek. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at $22.92 per hour.

 

Workers will be provided with on-the-job training to perform the duties assigned.

 

The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid bi-weekly.

 

The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law.  Optional employee shared housing available, including utilities, at approximately $110 biweekly payroll deduction for housing, utilities, use of van for errands per worker. Cost of housing/utilities/company vehicle deducted from paycheck if worker elects.

 

The employer will provide daily transportation from housing to and from the main worksite, and among all worksite locations.

 

If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
