MEDWATCH LLC HR Generalist (Human Resources Generalist) in Brevard, North Carolina

Scope: The Human Resources Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department's daily operations. This multi-faceted position involves a wide range of activities including payroll, benefits, employee relations, and recruiting. The incumbent will develop strong working relationships with employees and managers and provide ongoing support for their needs.

Education: Bachelor's degree in business, psychology, or related field. PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.

Experience: Minimum of five years experience in a full scope of HR functions such as employee relations, payroll, recruiting, and benefits. Knowledge of self-funded health plan is a plus.

Requirements/Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively convey information and interact with employees at all levels. Strong relationship-building skills. Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism. Strong multitasking and time-management skills. Attention to detail. Understanding of HR principles, practices, and labor laws in a multi-state setting.

Duties and Responsibilities: Process an accurate bi-weekly payroll using the Paychex system. Provide support to managers by entering missed punches, leaves of absence, or other payroll entries. Post positions and review resumes to identify qualified candidates for open positions. Conduct initial phone screenings to assess candidates qualifications and fit. Respond to state inquiries regarding unemployment. Attend and provide documentation for hearings when needed. Assist with leave of absence administration when needed. Work with managers and employees to resolve minor employee relations issues. Address and resolve employee inquiries and concerns regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits. Conduct exit interviews with employees who leave the company. Assist with administration of benefits programs by answering employee questions, ensuring benefit elections are correct in the system, and assisting with open enrollment. Assist with HR projects such as policy updates and training initiatives. Assist with maintaining personnel files. Work Environment / Physical Demands: This position is in a typical office / home office environment which requires prolonged sitting in front of a computer. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment.
