Job Title: Electrician 3rd Class
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Electrician 3rd Class to join our team in a shipyard setting. The ideal candidate will have experience with shipboard electrical systems, including the ability to read and interpret government drawings and perform electrical tests with proper technical documentation. Familiarity with EPISM and ISO9001-2008 standards is essential.
Responsibilities
Follow EPISM requirements and ISO9001-2008 standards.
Adhere to procedures of Work Packages.
Accomplish Standard Items 009-16 and 009-36 without supervision.
Perform electrical tests with proper technical documentation.
Read and interpret government drawings.
Complete job assignments with all necessary documentation and provide information for report writing.
Maintain productivity in the absence of a supervisor.
Identify and minimize unnecessary costs.
Possess knowledge of WAFs.
Distinguish color code phasing including orange, brown, yellow, black, and white.
Essential Skills
Experience with shipboard electrical systems.
Proficient in using voltmeters and ohmmeters.
Ability to read and interpret government drawings.
Knowledge of EPISM and ISO9001-2008 standards.
Ability to accomplish electrical tests with proper technical documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with cables and wiring.
Troubleshooting skills.
Ability to install, connect, and perform operational testing of electrical systems and components.
Experience with electrical power and lighting systems, sound-powered phones, electric heat, and ventilation equipment.
Proficiency with various hand and power tools.

This position is based in a shipyard. The role involves working with various hand and power tools to install, connect, and test shipboard electrical systems and components.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bremerton, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
