Job Title: Food Quality Technician Location: Brecksville, OH Shift: 9:00 AM -- 5:00 PM Pay Range: $18 - $21 per hour Overview: The Lab Technician will ensure product quality by performing a range of tests on samples produced in the production facilities. Responsibilities include analytical testing, sensory evaluations, and data recording, as well as maintaining equipment and complying with safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Perform quality control tests on samples, including Brix, pH, viscosity, color, drained weights, Brookfield viscosity, water activity, bake tests, Titratable Acidity, and Texture Analysis. Evaluate raw materials and perform sensory analysis (taste, color, flavor) of yogurt, ice cream, and bakery items. Mix fruit preparations and evaluate final product quality. Record test data in SAP and spreadsheets accurately. Maintain calibration of laboratory equipment. Adhere to ISO 9001, ISO 22000, and other compliance guidelines. Assist with cross-functional tasks like ingredient unitization, data entry, sample production, and inventory maintenance. Follow "Safety First" policy and maintain a safe work environment. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; food science or related education is a plus. Experience in quality control or a related field preferred. Strong attention to detail and proficiency in laboratory equipment. Familiarity with SAP or similar systems is a plus. Positive attitude and commitment to safety and quality. Working Conditions: Full-time position, Monday through Friday (9 AM - 5 PM). Work in laboratory and production settings with exposure to various food products.
