Barnes Group Inc CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift 1pm to 9:30pm in Brecksville, Ohio

Description An exciting opportunity exists at Barnes for a CNC Machinist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various day-to-day functions, from set-up and loading to operating machinery with efficiency. Will ensure the machine's performance allows every aspect of production to run according to required specifications, processes, and procedures in an area of production in a manufacturing environment. Ensure that all parts fit correctly and are suitable for final product. Core Responsibilities: Set-up and produce machined parts on various machines (i.e. Mazak, Haas, JohnFord, Mori-Seiki, Okuma) in accordance with documented procedures. Identify and load correct programs, fixtures, and tooling. Ensure quality parts are produced to engineering specifications. Verify step up through measurement of first-run part and sample workpieces. Inspect parts and maintain quality records according to work instructions. Maintain equipment and supplies in work areas. Inspects tools for wear /breakage. Replace as needed. Adjust zero shift or references, set tool registers, and offsets. Troubleshoot malfunctions as needed and call for repair. Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, needs. Notify supervisor of product discrepancies or equipment malfunction. Adheres to established company policies and procedures such as safety regulations. Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines. Performs other related duties as assigned. Adherence to the Barnes Group Code of Business Ethics and Conduct Qualifications: Demonstrated experience working in roles that require mechanical skills, including mechanical/air power tools and powered industrial vehicles (i.e. lift trucks). Working knowledge of computers and electronics, CNC's/CNC Machines, understands basic programming, and computer aided manufacturing. Experience editing and optimizing G-code programs for maximizing efficiency is preferred. Demonstrated experience reading blueprints. Mechanically inclined with attention to detail. Able to effectively communicate and follow instructions in verbal and written form. Self-motivated and team oriented, with strong interpersonal skills. Able to work well with minimal direct management oversight. Able to adapt and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced and changing environment. Basic understanding and demonstrated experience complying with required safety and health expectations. Working knowledge of basic math and the ability to use measuring tools (Gages, Faro Arm, optical comparator) Read and understand standard and geometric tolerances on blueprints. Physical Dexterity. Good computer skills.
