[JOB DESCRIPTION CNC Programmer [SUMMARY [Under the CNC Department, the CNC Programmer includes program creation, verification of 3D models and designs based on technical specifications for fabrication purposes. The 5 CNC Programmer will ensure that dimensions and tolerances of a finished work piece are met through the sequencing of operations, setups, while maintaining accurate records of tools required to keep production flowing. CNC Programmers will utilize SolidWorks, MasterCam, and ESPRIT.

Support the Engineering, Manufacturing and Quality Departments with the development of 3D models and designs based on technical specifications for fabrication purposes

to achieve the required dimensions and tolerances of a finished work piece, sequence / operations, setup

Work with customer drawings and models and as needed to manufacturing drawings and models

Develop

tool path strategies and approaches for producing metal parts.

Coordinate with engineering and shop floor on existing fixture/tool designs or create new concepts and provide detail models and drawings as required for fabrication.

Verify tool paths, ie, perform full machine simulation to minimize shop floor incidents and maximize program performance.

Create tool lists, setup sheets and other documentation required for programs.

Support continuous improvement to reduce fabrication time, rework, or defects.

Proficient using hand measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparator, etc.)

Expertly apply the principles of GDandT for drawing/model interpretation and acceptance activities.

Participate in the creation and planning of First Article, In-Process, Final inspections and accurate report generating utilizing AS9102 FAIR format.

Participate in Corrective Action processes, including containment plans, root cause analysis, corrective countermeasures, and providing objective evidence for verification/closure.

Maintain and archive controlled document files and records in a timely and accurate manner.

Provide feedback on the quality aspects of parts and assemblies to Engineering and Quality

Interact with machinists for communicating fabrication and inspection results
