Defibtech LLC Service Technician in Branford, Connecticut

[Defibtech is seeking a Service Technician, based onsite at our Branford, CT manufacturing facility, **[responsible for diagnosing product failures, performing product repairs, and documenting the work performed.

  • Performs electro-mechanical service of medical devices according to documented procedures.
  • Uses ERP software to track inventory and field service repairs.
  • Routes product and components as defined within material management procedures.
  • Provides input to improve service work procedures.
  • Identifies modes of failure and provides root cause analysis of failures.
  • Routinely interfaces with Customer Service to coordinate returns and prioritize work orders.
  • Processes manufacturing non-conformances and proposes rework solutions to Material Review Board as needed.
  • Assists with manufacturing subassembly rework, as necessary.
  • Demonstrates Defibtechs values on the job. Promotes and participates in continuous improvement.
  • Actively supports compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures (including but not limited to FDA, Quality Systems Regulations, safety regulations and applicable statutes).

[Qualifications / Requirements: ]{arial",sans-serif"=""}

  • 1+ year of previous manufacturing or service experience.
  • Experience with manufacturing systems, processes, and products.
  • Associates degree and 2 years of related experience, preferred
  • Previous experience within a regulated environment (FDA, ISO), specifically within medical device manufacturing, preferred
  • Strong understanding of mechanical device assembly, tests, and documentation.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to accurately convey issues and information.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to focus and work in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
  • Understanding of production flow and related processes.
  • Ability and aptitude to learn and collaborate with electro-mechanical assembly
  • Basic MS Office skills in Outlook, Word, and Excel with the ability to learn more complex databases and systems as needed.
