Basic Job Functions:

The role of the Overhead Crane Maintenance Mechanic is primarily two-fold. First, to be a great Nucor team member who demonstrates high levels of honesty, integrity, and ownership in everything they do. Second, to ensure the success of the team by SAFELY performing preventative and corrective maintenance on overhead cranes in a steel mill environment, as well as proposing and implementing innovative solutions to challenges in the steel-making process and business. Minimum Qualifications:

Mechanical skills and fundamental knowledge Experience troubleshooting issues on overhead cranes Experience troubleshooting issues on overhead cranes 2+ years experience in steel mill or related metals industry overhead crane maintenance Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, shift work, scheduled and unscheduled overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge specific to industrial overhead crane maintenance including but not limited to; codes and specifications, PLCs, drive programming, preventive/predictive maintenance programs, NDT, crane inspections, and production practices. Experience in overhead crane maintenance in steel or related metals industry 2-year or 4-year degree in mechanical or related field.
