Summary:

Responsible for end-to-end delivery of Retail Agency Distribution technology, from deployment to adoption, with a high degree of autonomy and authority. Implements change management, including updates to workflows, training and communications. Oversees product documentation, ensuring appropriate retention of product development timelines, budgets and roll-outs. Contributes to Retail Agency Distribution strategy development and partners with the Director, Distribution Strategy, VP - Distribution Strategy, and business partners to communicate development challenges and opportunities. Leads effort to design and implement a Retail Agency Technology Road. Builds and maintains strong collaboration with the team and ensures product capabilities align to business strategy and expected outcomes.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for understanding the current state of retail agency-related technology and the associated workflows and communication plans. Leads effort to design and implement a Retail Agency Technology Roadmap. Documents requirements and maintains workflows with a high degree of independence.

  • Responsible for overseeing agency and field related reporting, including CI requests, enhancement prioritization and IT communications. Independently and effectively translate product management narratives into user stories ensuring expected outcomes are achieved.

  • Reviews, analyzes, and approves testing plans for products with moderate complexity.

  • Prepares timeline and prioritized work list for the delivery team (scrum team) while focusing on business value. Responds to first level questions and communicates delays across stakeholders.

  • Assesses and represents development challenges throughout the product lifecycle, offering solutions to the Director of Distribution Strategies , removing impediments to team progress, and communicating concerns to stakeholders.

  • Provide training and support to key stakeholders throughout the strategy, roll-out and feedback life cycle for products.

  • Collects, assimilates, and communicates feedback by incorporating Voice of the Customer input, evaluating customer feedback on product features, and offering professional assessment of product functionality and user experience.

  • Maintain information on competitive intelligence, industry trends and consumer need to ensure competitive advantage.

Knowledge & Requirements

  • Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills
  • Possesses knowledge and practical application of Agile methodologies
  • Possesses knowledge of software development life cycles
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to write and interpret requirement documents for complex business systems
  • Proficient ability to multi-task and manage workflows to meet and exceed production and service expectations
  • Proficient ability to solve problems and make sound decisions

Education & Experience

  • College degree preferred
  • 3+ years of business analysis experience
  • 3+ years of experience in insurance line of business role
  • Demonstrated success in leading projects from inception to delivery

Salary range: $90,000.00 - $150,000.00. The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint. Additional considerations include the candidate's qualifications and experience.
