Heavy Equipment Mechanic ( Relocation Offered)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Equipment Mechanic with a minimum of 3 years repairing mobile mining equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive exposure to mining equipment such as CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Sandvik, and Liebherr, with experience in machine rebuilds, overhauls, and major component replacement.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain mobile mining equipment.

• Rebuild, overhaul, and replace major components of mining machinery.

• Disassemble and reassemble Frac Transmissions.

• Perform welding fabrication, arc welding, metal inert gas welding, arc gouging, and use of an oxyacetylene torch.

• Handle technical tasks involving hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors.

• Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on heavy equipment.

• Operate a service vehicle and maintain a clean driving record.

• Work independently in the field, exceeding customer expectations.

• Maintain a tool inventory sufficient to perform assigned tasks.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience repairing mobile mining equipment.

• Experience with CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Sandvik, and Liebherr equipment.

• OEM experience highly desired.

• Proficient in welding fabrication and use of an oxyacetylene torch.

• Technical experience with hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors.

• Proficient in computer use and related software (Word, Excel, etc.).

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

• Able to lift more than 50 pounds.

• Ability to work unsupervised in a dynamic, fast-paced service environment.

Work Environment

This position operates on a 14-7 rotation from 6am to 3pm. The role includes both indoor and outdoor responsibilities in a shop environment located in LA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00/yr.
