Robert Half Tax Preparer in Braintree, Massachusetts

Description We are in search of a Tax Preparer to join our team in Braintree, Massachusetts. As a Tax Preparer, you will primarily focus on preparing both individual and corporate tax returns during the tax season. This role provides a contract to permanent employment opportunity, offering the chance for you to demonstrate your skills in tax preparation and bookkeeping.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the preparation of individual tax returns

• Prepare and process corporate tax returns, depending on your capability

• Get everything ready for the preparation and processing of Individual and Entity returns

• Utilize Quickbooks for bookkeeping tasks as an additional responsibility

• Multitask and demonstrate the ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment

• Ensure the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications

• Maintain accurate records of customer credit information

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action when required. Requirements • Proficiency in individual tax return preparation is required.

• Demonstrable experience with corporate tax return preparation.

• Ability to prepare tax returns efficiently and accurately.

• Must have a solid understanding of tax codes and regulations.

• Strong computer skills, particularly with tax preparation software.

• Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tax returns.

• Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tax returns simultaneously.

• Strong communication skills to explain tax-related concepts to clients.

• Must be able to meet strict deadlines, particularly during tax season.

• A relevant degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Detail oriented certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) is advantageous.

• Prior experience working in a tax preparation role is highly desirable.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive client information.

• Knowledge of state and federal tax regulations is necessary.

• Proficiency in using tax software and other related financial systems.

• Willingness to stay updated with the latest tax regulations and changes.
