Quality and Compliance Manager

Classification: Exempt Reports to: Vice President, Quality and Regulatory Affairs

Department: Administration Business Unit: Shared Services

Job Purpose:

The Compliance Manager is responsible for supporting all aspects of the compliance program and is a subject matter expert leading Vitra's compliance program. This role will report to the VP of Regulatory Affairs and Compliance

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance & Quality

  • Identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to address and mitigate them.

  • Monitor and track compliance trends impacting the industry

  • Develop/maintain product, regulatory, and operational knowledge for assigned businesses, with particular focus on practices, standards, and regulatory requirements

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on various regulatory requirements monitoring changes to laws and regulations to ensure compliance with local, State and Federal regulations

  • Support the planning, continued implementation, and ongoing effectiveness of the Compliance & Regulatory Program for the company

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of compliance matters to Senior management, Board, and relevant authorities

  • Leads and supports accreditation efforts and local, state, and federal audits

Management

  • Coordinate with various departments to integrate compliance requirements into organizational practices.

  • Establish effective working relationships and build credibility internally to support a continued and scalable culture of ethics and compliance

  • Partner with company legal counsel and various departments on matters, as appropriate

  • Develop, update, review and implement processes and policies designed to ensure compliance with Federal and state healthcare program requirements and other regulations that are applicable to our company

  • Investigate compliance issues and concerns, including conducting interviews and gathering evidence.

  • Support the delivery of targeted compliance training and communications for users

  • Maintain and reports key operating indicators for Vitra's various business units timely; escalates to Senior leadership as appropriate

  • Serve as the liaison with any required state or federal mandatory reporting and or surveys

  • Foster culture of customer service and commitment to quality care.

  • Serve as a brand ambassador for VITRA reflecting our vision, mission and values.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare compliance

  • Experience in the healthcare industry

  • Deep knowledge of health-care regulations and other pertinent regulations both at the federal and state level

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities

  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others, understand process flows and correlating platforms, adhere to deadline, recommend options, and implement solutions

  • Strong at communications- experience preparing and delivering information to multiple audiences

  • Planning, organization, and implementation skills - experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives

Physical and Environmental Demands:

  • Works in a clean well-lit environment with fluctuating temperatures close to others.

  • Requires substantial periods of repetitive work utilizing a computer, monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

  • Requires lifting and carrying equipment and supplies weighing up to 35 pounds; requires pushing and pulling equipment and supplies weighing up to 35 pounds; requires walking and standing; requires frequent sitting more than 75% of the workday; requires the ability to negotiate stairs; requires visual acuity and manual dexterity to operate equipment.
