About this role

Kidde has an opportunity for a Technical Program Manager who will be responsible for the tactical execution of our North America NPD product roadmap, VAVE projects, and Sustaining activities. You will work independently, lead both programs and projects of all sizes, analyze data, and recommend solutions to address project risks, maintain progress reports, and drive accountability in the commitment to meet our business objectives. As a member of our Global PMO you will be a part of the unifying force that makes an impact at the Project, Program and Process levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead work with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall objectives, focusing on Engineering and technical related teams.

  • Drive accountability and enroll the team in the execution of our business objectives.

  • Review options, identify and propose solutions to project risk to ensure the successful completion of projects.

  • Alignment with Product Management and Marketing teams to understand the requirements for execution and work with the development teams to support the business scope.

  • Utilizing Risk Management, you equip your team for known issues with potential parallel paths to allow them to address unknown risks in a way that does not impact our time to market.

  • Will lead multiple programs, projects, or a combination of both simultaneously.

  • Track and manage project budgets.

  • Support key milestone deliverables and phase gate reviews.

  • Identify and execute on continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality.

  • Identify process gaps, solutions to those gaps and lead process improvement.

  • Able to communicate effectively with senior/executive leadership.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associates Degree with 9+ years of program/project management OR Bachelors’ Degree with 7+ years of program/project management experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a role managing consumer products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Marketing, or Industrial Design OR equivalent experience desired.

  • Successful program and project management experience across multiple timelines simultaneously.

  • Experience working with IOT/connected products desired.

  • Cross functional leadership experience in a matrix environment.

  • Experience with consumer products manufacturing as a program/project manager preferred.

  • Experience working with domestic and global manufacturing.

  • Experience working with globally distributed and diverse project teams.

  • PMP Certification, CSM or other Scrum experience.

  • Working understanding of regulatory requirements for safety-based product is preferred.
