Bozeman Health Medical Staff Service Coordinator (PT- 0.6 FTE, Day Shift) in Bozeman, Montana
Position Summary:
This Medical Staff Services Coordinator assumes responsibility for facilitating the departmental objectives in alignment with organizational strategic planning. Promotes and maintains a systemic method to support and facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration. Ensures that the Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) and the Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE) are meaningful and appropriate for all service specialties in accordance with the medical staff bylaws and policies at a system level and meets regulatory and accreditation standards. Develops processes to keep all applicable parties informed of trends and outcomes. Captures all documentation requirements according to policy, and ensures timely communication. Collaborates with the Medical Staff Leadership regarding Medical Staff affairs. Serves as a liaison to our employed and independent providers and engages in supporting Bozeman Health Leadership in navigating the appropriate processes to meet our mission as an organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required
Associate’s Degree in a related field
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree
1-3 years as an Office Coordinator in healthcare field
Essential Job Functions:
In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.
Facilitate the processes and procedures as outlined within the Medical Staff bylaws and policies for facilitating OPPE/FPPE.
Ensure regulatory compliance during the credentialing process for the Medical Staff and Advanced Practice Clinicians.
Coordinate Program Development and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Participate in project work; assemble and prepare reports and other documents for the Medical Staff office.
Maintain expertise in Medical Staff operations and credentialing requirements as they pertain to the Bylaws and policies.
Provide organizational support for the Medical Staff, Advanced Practice Clinicians, and medical leadership.
Ensure department compliance with HIPAA privacy regulations.
Supports the Medical Staff Service position in preparing monthly credentialing applications for medical and advanced practice clinicians to ensure compliance with the System Credentials and Hearing Policy, Medical Staff Bylaws, and Rules and Regulations.
Assists the System Manager of Medical Staff Services, Credentials Committee Chair, Credentials Reviewers, and the System Director of Quality and Safety with projects as assigned.

Schedule Requirements
This role requires regular and sustained attendance.
The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.
