Bozeman Health Food Service Worker - Hillcrest (PT- Casual Call, Variable Shift)) in Bozeman, Montana

Position Summary:

The Food Service Worker – Hillcrest provides table service to residents by taking orders for food and beverages, delivering orders to the table, and ensuring that residents have a pleasant dining experience. This role assists with the day to day dietary needs of the residents related to their personalized care plan. Assists residents with care in transfers and attendance at meals, activities and appointments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • ServSafe required within 2 months of hire

  • Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Preferred: 1 year of caregiver or aide in a ALF, LTC, SNF or hospital experience

Essential Job Functions: In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements.

  • Greets residents as they are seated at the table; ensures the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided. Assists with meal service, catering or special event.

  • Assists with new resident orientation to dining room and resident care as directed by personalized care plans.

  • Ensures that food is prepared correctly and to customer’s satisfaction; returns incorrect or improperly prepared orders to kitchen.

  • Maintains a clean, sanitized and attractive work area, small wares storage area, dining room.

  • Assists with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area, washing/preparing silverware and set up, stocks and maintains resident coffee area.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Stocks and maintains par levels of food and non-food items.

  • Ensures all foods are properly stored according to department expectations.

  • Fine-Finger Movements (Continuously): Picking, pinching, typing, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than using the whole hand as in handling.

  • Vision (Continuously): Close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data and figures and to read computer screens, printed materials, and handwritten materials.

  • Cognitive Skills (Continuously): Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, and make timely decisions in the context of a workflow.

  • Exposures (Rarely): Bloodborne pathogens, such as blood, bodily fluids, or tissues. Radiation in settings where medical imaging procedures are performed. Various chemicals and medications are used in healthcare settings. Job tasks may involve handling cleaning products, disinfectants, and other substances. Infectious diseases due to contact with patients in areas that may have contagious illnesses.
