Shipping and Receiving Team Lead:

The Shipping & Receiving Team Lead plays a pivotal role in the efficient and accurate administration of the shipping and receiving departments, ensuring the precise handling of parts. This leadership position involves steering a dedicated team, coordinating with the production and supply chain units, and upholding company guidelines and policies. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional leadership skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Perform all required shipping and receiving duties. Direct and mentor the shipping and receiving team, provide training, and conduct performance reviews to enhance productivity and accuracy.

  • Inventory Control: Oversee inventory operations, including material delivery to the point of use, management of Kanban levels, and stock reconciliation to prevent discrepancies and ensure timely restocking.

  • Shipping Coordination: Supervise shipping schedules, liaise with carriers, and ensure the prompt and cost-effective delivery of goods to customers.

  • Receiving Coordination: Oversee the receipt and inspection of incoming goods, ensuring packing slip accuracy, proper transaction of items, and correct storage of parts.

  • Business System Compliance and Safety: Maintain shipping and receiving metrics, participate in daily management and Gemba activities, uphold a safe work environment based on 5S standards and audits.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving activities, including shipping logs, inventory reports, and any discrepancies. Present reports to upper management as required.

  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues related to shipping, receiving, or inventory discrepancies in a timely and effective manner.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 Years experience in shipping receiving in a manufacturing company.

  • International shipping experience

  • Computer skills:

  • MRP Systems

  • Microsoft office

  • Email

  • Excel

  • Communication skills

  • Education: 2-year college degree or at a minimum high school graduate and work experience

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
