Candidates should possess experience teaching oil, acrylic, and water-based painting media as well as a range of drawing processes. Candidates should also possess the ability to teach digital imaging, painting, and illustration processes. With this position, The School of Art seeks to expand its curricular commitment to the integration of traditional media and emerging digital media, related to visual narrative.This is a nine month, annualy renewable (non-tenure-track) appointment as an Assistant Teaching Professor with a start date of August 2025. The School offers BA degrees in Art History, Art, Studio Art and Digital Arts; BFA degrees in Studio Art, Graphic Design, Digital Arts and Art Education; MA degrees in Art History and Art Education (online); an MFA degree with specializations in Two-Dimensional Studies, Three-Dimensional Studies and Digital Arts; and a MDes degree in Integrative Design (hybrid/online). The RING Center for Experiential Learning, established this year through a major gift, opens an exciting new chapter in the School of Art's history.
